Parts plug is good at what they do. They did a clutch and walnut blasting service for me and have done a good job. They are quick to respond to questions and provide quotes and schedule you in which is appreciated since some shops take forever to do so. Will continue to use them in the future.
Response from the owner:Thanks for the review, Alex! We are glad we could help with your clutch and walnut blasting, and we appreciate you noting our communication and scheduling process. We look forward to seeing you for your future vehicle needs. -A
Khuram Khan
These guys are solid. I took my BMW X7 here and the entire process was seamless from start to finish. They provided a detailed quote by email beforehand, and there were no surprises, hidden fees, or unnecessary upselling. Honest, professional service and a great overall experience. Highly recommended.
Response from the owner:Happy to help Khuram, hope to see you and your X5 soon as well!
Mark Chuchra
We stopped in on a Saturday morning with a bit of a challenge. A rodent had chewed through one of our injector wires. Honda dealer does not sell a suitable replacement, shy of a full engine harness – which would have been ridiculously expensive. The guy at Parts Plug spent a generous amount of time trying to help us out gratis, even though he did not have the specific part. Super friendly and knowledgeable.
Response from the owner:Always happy to help Mark, glad we could get you back on the road! -J
Prasad De Silva

Best experience for a car repair ever. Was grateful for their advice prior to the alternator replacement. I was going to try to make it back home….. anyway, car was fixed quickly and is ready to go. Will definitely make this my garage moving forward. It's worth the drive to Oshawa, to have Parts Plug work on your car.
Mitchel Orr
These guys know what they’re talking about. Always great service and easy to work with.
Cuneyt Kumluk
Great service and very friendly team. They did an oil change on my Mini and checked the brake light issue. It turned out to be a small thing to fix, and they only charged me for the part with no labour charge. I was honestly surprised and really appreciated it. Thanks again for the great service!
Response from the owner:Always happy to help! -N
Natalie Tsang
Highly recommended! Just changed the water pump and did a carbon cleaning on my Audi. This is the shop we always go to any type of auto service.
Response from the owner:Natalie, thank you for the review and for trusting us with your Audi for the water pump and carbon cleaning. We are happy to hear you continue to choose us for your auto service needs. -J
Naveen Shan
They did a great job on installing my coilovers; process was smooth & everything was completed on time!
Russell Percival
Absolutely fantastic service. Answered my questions and addressed my concerns. These guys know there stuff. I got a PRL high volume air intake installed in my 2024 Honda Civic sport sedan. "Yeah yeah I know." Wasn't chasing gains or trying to make my car super fast because it's not. Although after the installation the car sounds fantastic. I'm extremely happy with the noise it makes now. Sounds sportier with a little angry growel. Like I said I'm not chasing gains or trying to race anybody. These guys did a fantastic job and it was a comfortable experience. There is a difference and it's noticeable no huge power gain but is a bit peppier sounds great. Thanks to the guys at parts plug
Response from the owner:Always happy to help Russel, thanks!
Yash Goyal
I took my Mercedes C300 for a noise coming from front axle. They inspected the car within 20 minutes and gave me a quote. Did the job the next day quickly and the car was running smooth as new. Got the best price for the repairs. Customer service, speed, efficiency everything was amazing!
Jason Frost
Honestly, one of the best shops I’ve dealt with. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and the work they do. They explained everything clearly, were honest about what I actually needed, and never tried to upsell me on things I didn’t need. Josiah was a huge help and is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to BMWs. Nick, the technician, was also very helpful, and both of them were super friendly and easy to deal with. After dealing with them myself, I can honestly see how the 1 star reviews about their customer service are fake. My experience was the complete opposite. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and easy to deal with. Pricing was also very fair, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy shop instead of going to the dealer.
Response from the owner:Appreciate the kind words Jason, thanks for your vote of confidence and i'm glad we were able to help you out! See you next time -A

They removed the stock exhaust on my 2024 Z Performance and replaced it with an AWE Track exhaust. The price was fair for the work. I was consulted about the placement of the exhaust tips while I waited. I was consulted again about how I wanted the old exhaust placed in the hatch of the Z, and to ensure it didn’t scrape the interior. All in all, very efficient and courteous service. I highly recommend this shop!
Lee Robb
Just had a small part install on my car and I’m definitely happy with was done. Guys are knowledgeable and I’ll definitely be back to get more work done on my car.

Very nice and friendly staff, and they always get me taken care of quick. Thank you Amar and the Parts Plug team!

Common Volkswagen Repairs

Volkswagens are good cars, but certain faults show up again and again as they age. These are common on Golf, GTI, Golf R, Jetta, Passat, Tiguan and Atlas models, and we can diagnose and repair them.

Coolant leaks from the water pump or thermostat housing. Many turbocharged four-cylinder VW engines use plastic coolant parts that can crack or seep with age and heat. A coolant smell, a low coolant warning or a temperature gauge creeping up are the usual signs.

Carbon buildup on the intake valves. Direct-injection TSI and FSI engines do not wash fuel over the intake valves, so carbon builds up and can cause a rough idle and misfires. We clean it with walnut blasting.

Misfires from ignition coils and spark plugs. A flashing check engine light or a stumble under boost often points to a coil or a plug. It is a quick fix once the cause is diagnosed correctly.

PCV valve and oil leaks. A failing PCV valve can cause rough running, a whistling noise and oil consumption problems. Valve cover gaskets and other seals are another common source of oil leaks.

DSG shifting problems. Jerky shifts, hesitation or a gearbox warning should be checked early, and regular fluid and filter service helps. See our DSG service page.

Suspension and brake wear. Clunks over bumps, vague steering and brake pulsation are common as VWs age. We find the worn part and replace it.

Not sure what is wrong? Start with a diagnostic and we will find the cause before replacing any parts.

Volkswagen vehicles are engineered to deliver a refined balance of performance, comfort and technology. Maintaining that experience requires more than basic automotive service—it requires technicians who understand Volkswagen systems, service requirements and common repair concerns.

Parts Plug provides comprehensive Volkswagen service, Volkswagen repair, diagnostics, maintenance and performance upgrades for a wide range of Volkswagen models. Whether your vehicle needs routine maintenance, a warning light diagnosed, a complex mechanical repair or carefully selected performance modifications, our team can help keep it operating at its best.

We service daily driven Volkswagen sedans and SUVs, Volkswagen TDI models, turbocharged vehicles and performance-oriented platforms such as the GTI and Golf R. Our approach combines accurate diagnostics, quality parts and clear recommendations based on the condition and needs of your vehicle.

Complete Volkswagen Maintenance and Repair

Your Volkswagen is made up of interconnected mechanical, electrical and computer-controlled systems. We take a methodical approach to Volkswagen diagnostics and service so that the work we recommend addresses the actual condition of the vehicle.

Our Volkswagen services include:

Volkswagen oil changes and scheduled maintenance
Volkswagen brake service, brake pad replacement and brake rotor replacement
Volkswagen diagnostics, warning-light diagnosis and electrical repair
Volkswagen engine repair, oil-leak repair and cooling-system service
Volkswagen DSG and automatic transmission service
Volkswagen 4MOTION and all-wheel-drive service
Volkswagen suspension, steering and wheel-bearing repair
Volkswagen battery replacement, adaptation and charging-system diagnosis
Volkswagen air-conditioning and climate-control service
Volkswagen exhaust repair and custom exhaust fabrication
Volkswagen tire installation, balancing, rotation and seasonal service
Volkswagen performance upgrades, tuning support and modifications
Pre-purchase inspections and comprehensive vehicle inspections

Volkswagen Oil Changes and Scheduled Maintenance

See our oil change and fluid services and factory scheduled maintenance.

Regular maintenance is one of the most effective ways to protect the performance, reliability and value of your Volkswagen. We provide Volkswagen oil changes and scheduled maintenance using service procedures and fluids selected for the vehicle’s specific requirements.

Depending on your Volkswagen’s model, age, mileage and service history, maintenance may include:

Engine oil and oil-filter replacement
Engine air-filter replacement
Cabin air-filter and microfilter replacement
Spark-plug replacement
Brake-fluid service
Engine coolant service
DSG, automatic transmission and differential-fluid service
Haldex and 4MOTION driveline service where applicable
Belt, hose and fluid inspections
Volkswagen service-interval display review and maintenance reset

We can also review the vehicle’s current condition and available maintenance history to help prioritize services. Instead of treating every Volkswagen the same, we consider how the vehicle is driven, its mileage and any known issues that may require attention.

Volkswagen Brake Service

More on our brake service and repair.

Your Volkswagen’s braking system plays a major role in both safety and driving feel. If you notice squealing, grinding, vibration, a soft brake pedal, reduced braking performance or a brake warning message, the system should be inspected.

Our Volkswagen brake services include:

Volkswagen brake inspection
Front and rear brake-pad replacement
Brake-rotor replacement
Brake-fluid flushes
Brake-caliper diagnosis and replacement
Brake-hose and brake-line repair
Parking-brake service
ABS and brake warning-light diagnosis
Performance brake upgrades

We assess the condition of the relevant components before recommending repairs and can provide suitable options based on the vehicle and how it is used. Whether you need everyday replacement brakes or an upgraded braking setup for a performance build, Parts Plug can help.

Volkswagen Diagnostics and Check Engine Light Repair

More on our diagnostics and warning light service.

A Volkswagen warning light tells you that a control module has detected a fault, but a fault code alone does not always identify the failed component. Proper Volkswagen diagnosis may require testing circuits, sensors, mechanical systems, live data and the conditions under which the fault occurred.

We provide Volkswagen diagnostics for concerns including:

Volkswagen check engine lights
EPC and emission-control warnings
Rough running, misfires and loss of power
No-start and intermittent starting concerns
Battery discharge and charging problems
ABS, traction-control and chassis warnings
Airbag and restraint-system warnings
Electronic and communication faults
Overheating and cooling-system warnings
Transmission and 4MOTION faults

Our goal is to identify the underlying problem before recommending a repair. This diagnostic-first approach is especially important on modern Volkswagen vehicles, where many systems communicate with one another and a single fault can trigger several warning messages.

Volkswagen Engine Repair and Oil-Leak Diagnosis

Volkswagen engines deliver excellent performance, but age, mileage, heat and maintenance history can contribute to oil leaks, cooling-system concerns, ignition problems and other mechanical issues. Early diagnosis can often prevent a manageable repair from becoming a more serious failure.

Our Volkswagen engine repair services include:

Valve-cover and valve-cover-gasket replacement
Oil-filter housing and oil-cooler leak repair
Oil-pan gasket and oil-leak repair
Cooling-system pressure testing
Water-pump and thermostat replacement
Radiator, coolant-hose and expansion-tank replacement
Ignition-coil and spark-plug replacement
Fuel-system and injector diagnosis
TDI diesel engine and fuel-system diagnosis
Turbocharger and boost-leak diagnosis
Intake and vacuum-leak testing
Intake-valve carbon cleaning for applicable direct-injection engines
Timing-chain and timing-belt diagnosis and replacement
Crankcase ventilation system repair
PCV and oil-separator diagnosis
Engine mount replacement
Compression, leak-down and mechanical engine testing

If your Volkswagen is leaking fluid, overheating, misfiring, smoking, making an unusual noise or displaying an EPC or check-engine warning, contact us to arrange an inspection.

Volkswagen DSG, Transmission and 4MOTION Service

See our DSG and transmission service page.

Smooth power delivery depends on the condition of the transmission, differentials, all-wheel-drive system, axles and related driveline components. Volkswagen vehicles use several transmission and 4MOTION system configurations, so the correct service procedure depends on the exact model and drivetrain. Symptoms such as harsh shifting, delayed engagement, vibration, shuddering, clunking or fluid leaks should be investigated before the concern becomes more severe.

Our Volkswagen transmission and driveline services include:

DSG fluid and filter service
Tiptronic and automatic transmission-fluid service
Transmission pan and gasket replacement
Transmission leak diagnosis
Transmission fault diagnosis
Mechatronic and clutch-system diagnosis
Manual transmission and clutch service
Differential-fluid service
Haldex coupling service where equipped
4MOTION and all-wheel-drive diagnosis
Driveshaft and centre-support-bearing repair
CV axle and wheel-bearing replacement
Differential and driveline diagnosis

We determine the appropriate service or repair based on the Volkswagen model, transmission type, symptoms and condition of the fluid and related components.

Volkswagen Suspension Repair

More on our suspension repairs.

Volkswagen vehicles are known for controlled handling and responsive steering. Worn suspension or steering components can cause clunking, looseness, vibration, uneven tire wear and a noticeable decline in ride quality.

Our Volkswagen suspension and steering services include:

Control-arm and bushing replacement
Ball-joint and tie-rod replacement
Shock and strut replacement
Coil-spring replacement
Wheel-bearing replacement
Sway-bar link and bushing replacement
Steering-system diagnosis and repair
Suspension-noise diagnosis
Lowering springs, coilovers and performance suspension upgrades
Ride-height and fitment consultation

After identifying the worn components, we can recommend an appropriate repair for a comfortable daily driver or a more performance-focused suspension setup.

Volkswagen Battery, Electrical and Charging-System Service

Modern Volkswagen vehicles rely on battery-management and energy-control systems that require the correct battery type and installation procedure. In many applications, a newly installed battery must also be registered to the vehicle.

We provide:

Volkswagen battery testing and replacement
Volkswagen battery registration
Alternator and charging-system testing
Parasitic battery-drain diagnosis
Starter and no-start diagnosis
Lighting and electrical repair
Sensor, switch and wiring diagnosis
Control-module and network fault diagnosis

If your Volkswagen displays a battery discharge warning, has difficulty starting or develops intermittent electrical problems, our team can test the system and identify the source of the concern.

Volkswagen Air Conditioning and Climate-Control Repair

If your Volkswagen’s air conditioning is not cold, airflow is weak or the climate-control system behaves inconsistently, we can inspect and diagnose the system.

Volkswagen climate-control services may include:

Air-conditioning performance testing
Refrigerant leak detection
A/C recharge service where appropriate
Compressor, condenser and evaporator diagnosis
Blower-motor and resistor repair
Heater and climate-control diagnosis
Cabin air-filter and microfilter replacement

Rather than simply adding refrigerant to a leaking system, we work to determine why performance has declined and recommend the appropriate repair.

Volkswagen Tires and Wheels

More on our wheels and tires service.

The correct tires play an important role in Volkswagen handling, braking, comfort and 4MOTION operation. We provide tire services for factory and modified Volkswagen vehicles, including:

Summer, winter and all-season tire installation
Tire mounting and balancing
Tire rotation
Flat-tire assessment and repair
Wheel and tire fitment guidance
Performance tire recommendations
Tire-pressure monitoring system service
Inspection of uneven or abnormal tire wear

For 4MOTION vehicles, tire size, tread depth and overall rolling diameter require particular attention. We can help select a suitable tire setup for the vehicle and its intended use.

Volkswagen, GTI and Golf R Performance Upgrades

See our ECU and TCU tuning, lowering springs and performance upgrades.

Parts Plug is both an automotive repair facility and a performance-focused shop. That means we can consider reliability, maintenance and supporting components when planning your Volkswagen upgrades.

Volkswagen performance services may include:

Engine and ECU tuning support
Intake and charge-pipe upgrades
Intercooler and cooling upgrades
Downpipes and exhaust upgrades
Custom exhaust fabrication
Turbocharger and supporting modifications
Suspension and handling upgrades
Performance brake upgrades
Wheel and tire fitment
Maintenance and inspections for modified Volkswagen vehicles

Every build should be planned around the driver’s goals, budget and intended use. Whether you want a refined daily driver, improved sound and response or a more extensive performance package, we can help create a practical upgrade plan.

Volkswagen Models We Service

We work on a broad range of Volkswagen cars and SUVs, including:

Volkswagen Golf, GTI and Golf R
Volkswagen Jetta and GLI
Volkswagen Passat and Arteon
Volkswagen Tiguan, Taos and Atlas
Volkswagen Beetle
Volkswagen CC
Volkswagen Rabbit and older Golf platforms
Volkswagen TDI diesel models
Volkswagen 4MOTION vehicles
Volkswagen ID.4 and other electric models for supported services

Service availability can vary by model, system and repair. Contact us with your Volkswagen’s year, model and concern so our team can help determine the next step.

Why Volkswagen Owners Choose Parts Plug

Volkswagen-Focused Knowledge

We understand the maintenance needs, common concerns and performance potential of Volkswagen vehicles. That familiarity helps us approach each service or repair with the platform in mind.

Diagnostics Before Parts Replacement

Modern Volkswagen vehicles require more than basic code scanning. We take the time to investigate the cause of the concern and provide repair recommendations based on our findings.

Quality Parts and Fluids

We use appropriate fluids and quality components selected for the application. Available options may include OEM, original-equipment-supplier and proven aftermarket parts depending on the repair and the customer’s goals.

Maintenance and Performance Under One Roof

Because we handle both repairs and modifications, Volkswagen owners do not need to choose between a general repair shop and a performance shop. We can maintain a stock vehicle, troubleshoot a modified Volkswagen or help plan a complete build.

Clear Recommendations

We explain what we find, identify urgent concerns and help prioritize additional maintenance or repairs. Our goal is to give you the information needed to make a confident decision about your Volkswagen.
