Nick and his team were amazing. You can tell they really enjoy what they’re doing. They changed my brake pads and rotors quickly and on the day of for a very affordable price. There were some really nice cars that they were working on yet they still treated my old civic the same. If you also need passionate honest people to mod your car, this is the place to go to! Or if you just have a regular car like me that just needs maintenance , this is also a go to. Your one stop shop for everything ! Thanks Nick & team

Always have great service with Nick at Parts Plug. He takes his time to ensure quality work is done and the right thing is being fixed. He’ll never try to rip you off or tell you something needs to be fixed if it doesn’t. I will definitely be coming back in the future
Andrew Trinh
Had a great experience at Parts Plug. I reached out via email to inquire about walnut blasting intake carbon cleaning, they were quick to respond to all my questions, and book me in for an appointment. After they completed my intake carbon cleaning, I no longer experience misfires during cold starts or rough idling. I also noticed that the car is running overall a lot smoother now, and quicker throttle response. Intake carbon cleaning is pricey but for the amount of time it takes to complete I think the price is fair and worth it, felt like the car got a second life and runs like new. Highly recommend Parts Plug to anyone thinking about intake carbon cleaning!

We stopped in on a Saturday morning with a bit of a challenge. A rodent had chewed through one of our injector wires. Honda dealer does not sell a suitable replacement, she if a full engine harness. The guy at Parts Plug spent a generous amount of time trying to help us even though he did not have the specific part. Super friendly and knowledgeable.

I brought in my 2013 Audi with 230K on the odometer. They listened to my concerns, and were happy to explain my options to me. They kept to their schedule and did the job (quite a big one) in record time. They even had me come back in 2 wks to ensure all was still well. They did a great job at a great price and were a pleasure to work with. Thank you Parts Plug team!

European Oil Change & Fluid Services

European vehicles require more than a generic oil change. Modern engines, transmissions, cooling systems and drivetrains are designed around specific fluid standards that help protect performance, efficiency and long-term reliability.

Parts Plug provides professional oil changes and fluid services for Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Porsche, MINI and other European vehicles.

We use quality filters and fluids that meet the appropriate manufacturer specifications for each vehicle. Our technicians identify the correct oil viscosity, approval standard, fluid type and service procedure before beginning the work.

Whether your vehicle is due for scheduled maintenance, displaying a service reminder or has an unknown maintenance history, we can inspect its fluid condition and recommend the appropriate services.

European Synthetic Oil Changes

Engine oil lubricates internal components, manages heat, controls deposits and protects the engine during cold starts and high-temperature operation.

Modern European engines may require very specific oil approval standards. Oil viscosity alone does not confirm that a product is suitable for the vehicle. Two oils with the same viscosity can have different additive packages and manufacturer approvals.

Our European oil-change service may include:

  • Confirming the required oil specification

  • Draining the existing engine oil

  • Replacing the engine oil filter

  • Installing a new drain-plug washer or applicable sealing component

  • Refilling with the correct quantity of oil

  • Checking for visible oil leaks

  • Inspecting accessible fluid levels

  • Resetting the maintenance reminder when applicable

  • Performing a general visual inspection

We select the oil according to the engine and manufacturer requirements rather than using one product for every European vehicle.

Why the Correct Oil Specification Matters

Many Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Porsche engines use turbochargers, direct injection, variable valve timing and sophisticated emissions systems.

The appropriate engine oil helps support:

  • Cold-start lubrication

  • Turbocharger protection

  • Internal engine cleanliness

  • Proper variable-valve-timing operation

  • Stable oil pressure

  • Heat resistance

  • Fuel efficiency

  • Emissions-system compatibility

  • Long-term engine reliability

Using an oil that does not meet the applicable specification can contribute to deposits, accelerated wear, increased oil consumption or reduced protection.

Signs Your Vehicle May Need an Oil or Fluid Service

Schedule an inspection if you notice:

  • An oil-service reminder

  • A low-oil warning

  • A low-coolant warning

  • A brake-fluid or brake-system warning

  • Fluid underneath the vehicle

  • A burning-oil smell

  • An overheating warning

  • Rough or delayed transmission shifts

  • Shuddering during acceleration

  • Unusual differential or driveline noises

  • Heavy or inconsistent steering

  • Dark or visibly contaminated fluid

  • An unknown maintenance history

  • Maintenance records showing an overdue service

A warning light does not always mean that the vehicle only requires additional fluid. Low levels can indicate a leak, excessive consumption or another problem that should be diagnosed.

  • Fluid-leak inspections

Performance driving, track use and modified power levels may justify more frequent fluid inspection and maintenance than ordinary street driving.

Brake-Fluid Service

Brake fluid transfers hydraulic pressure from the brake pedal to the braking components. It absorbs moisture over time, which can reduce its boiling-point performance and contribute to corrosion inside hydraulic components.

A brake-fluid service may help maintain:

  • Consistent brake-pedal feel

  • Reliable hydraulic operation

  • Performance during repeated braking

  • ABS and stability-control system protection

  • Long-term braking-system reliability

We use brake fluid that meets the applicable specification and perform the appropriate bleeding procedure for the vehicle.

European Coolant Service

Engine coolant manages operating temperature while helping protect the cooling system from corrosion, deposits and freezing.

European manufacturers use different coolant formulations. Colour alone should not be used to identify compatibility.

Our cooling-system services may include:

  • Coolant inspection

  • Coolant replacement

  • Cooling-system pressure testing

  • Leak diagnosis

  • Hose and connection inspection

  • Expansion-tank inspection

  • Water-pump and thermostat assessment

  • Cooling-system bleeding procedures

Repeatedly needing to add coolant is not normal. A low-coolant condition should be inspected for leaks or another underlying problem.

Transmission, DSG and PDK Fluid Services

Transmission fluid lubricates internal components, manages heat and supports hydraulic operation. The correct service procedure varies considerably between traditional automatic, manual and dual-clutch transmissions.

Our transmission-fluid services may include:

  • Automatic transmission-fluid service

  • Transmission-filter replacement

  • DSG fluid and filter service

  • Audi S tronic service

  • Porsche PDK service

  • Manual transmission-fluid service

  • Temperature-controlled fluid-level setting

  • Leak inspection

  • Fault-code scanning

  • Adaptation procedures when appropriate

For detailed information, visit our European Transmission, DSG & PDK Services & Repair page.

A fluid service is preventative maintenance. It cannot repair worn clutches, failed mechatronics or existing internal transmission damage.

Differential, Transfer-Case and All-Wheel-Drive Service

European all-wheel-drive systems may contain several separate fluid-filled components. The transmission, front differential, rear differential, transfer case and Haldex coupling may each require a different fluid and service procedure.

Our driveline-fluid services may include:

  • Front differential service

  • Rear differential service

  • Transfer-case service

  • Haldex fluid service

  • Haldex filter or pump-screen inspection when applicable

  • Quattro driveline service

  • BMW xDrive transfer-case service

  • Mercedes-Benz 4MATIC driveline service

  • Volkswagen 4MOTION service

  • Porsche all-wheel-drive service

Maintaining these systems can help protect bearings, gears, clutch packs and other drivetrain components.

Oil and Fluid Services for Modified Vehicles

Modified and performance-driven vehicles may operate under greater temperature, pressure and load than standard vehicles.

When recommending fluids and service intervals, we consider:

  • Engine and transmission software

  • Increased boost or power

  • Track or competition use

  • Frequent short-distance driving

  • Stop-and-go traffic

  • Seasonal temperature changes

  • Towing or heavy loads

  • Launch-control use

  • Existing cooling upgrades

  • Previous maintenance history

A maintenance plan should reflect how the vehicle is actually driven rather than relying solely on a generic interval.

European Oil Change and Fluid Service FAQs

How often should I change the oil in my European vehicle?

The appropriate interval depends on the vehicle, engine, oil specification, driving conditions and maintenance history. Modified vehicles, short-distance driving and severe operating conditions may justify more frequent service.

Does synthetic oil viscosity determine whether it is suitable?

No. Viscosity is only part of the requirement. The oil should also meet the applicable manufacturer approval or performance specification for the engine.

Can you reset my oil-service reminder?

Yes, when supported. The reminder should be reset after the required maintenance has been properly completed.

Why is my vehicle consuming engine oil?

Some consumption can occur between services, but excessive use may indicate an external leak, crankcase-ventilation problem, turbocharger issue or internal engine wear. The cause should be diagnosed rather than repeatedly adding oil.

How often should brake fluid be changed?

The recommended interval varies by manufacturer and model. Fluid condition, vehicle age and driving demands should also be considered.

Can different coolant colours be mixed?

Coolant compatibility should be determined by specification, not colour. Mixing incompatible products can reduce corrosion protection or create deposits.

Does an all-wheel-drive vehicle have fluids separate from the transmission?

Often, yes. Depending on the drivetrain, the vehicle may have separate differential, transfer-case or coupling fluids with individual service requirements.

Do you service DSG and PDK transmissions?

Yes. Visit our European Transmission, DSG & PDK page for more information. Requirements vary by model and transmission generation.

Do you perform transmission flushes?

We use the procedure appropriate for the specific transmission. Many European vehicles require draining, filter or pan replacement, and temperature-controlled level setting rather than a universal machine flush.

Do you service modified European vehicles?

Yes. We service factory and modified European vehicles and can recommend maintenance based on their modifications and intended use.
