Parts Plug has been my go to for the past 3 years (since i found out about them). Great prices and most importantly AMAZING, trustworthy staff. I know I can trust their advice, and that the work will be done RIGHT. + I dont know how… but they found the sweetspot for professional and chill, and it’s always a vibe. Thanks again for all your hard work!

Great experience at Parts Plug Scarborough! I’ve been to the Whitby location before, and the Scarborough shop provides the same friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable service you would expect. This location is more convenient for me, so it’s great knowing I can get the same level of service closer to home. Highly recommend!

These guys are solid. I took my BMW X7 here and the entire process was seamless from start to finish. They provided a detailed quote by email beforehand, and there were no surprises, hidden fees, or unnecessary upselling. Honest, professional service and a great overall experience. Highly recommended.

Helped with supercharger pulley install top shelf staff!
Russell Percival
Absolutely fantastic service. Answered my questions and addressed my concerns. These guys know there stuff. I got a PRL high volume air intake installed in my 2024 Honda Civic sport sedan. "Yeah yeah I know." Wasn't chasing gains or trying to make my car super fast because it's not. Although after the installation the car sounds fantastic. I'm extremely happy with the noise it makes now. Sounds sportier with a little angry growel. Like I said I'm not chasing gains or trying to race anybody. These guys did a fantastic job and it was a comfortable experience. There is a difference and it's noticeable no huge power gain but is a bit peppier sounds great. Thanks to the guys at parts plug
Response from the owner:Always happy to help Russel, thanks!
Damien Davidson

Great experience with Parts Plug! I got an oil change, the whole process was quick and easy. Great service and prices as well. I’d definitely recommend Parts Plug and will be going back to them again!
Jason Frost
Honestly, one of the best shops I’ve dealt with. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and the work they do. They explained everything clearly, were honest about what I actually needed, and never tried to upsell me on things I didn’t need. Josiah was a huge help and is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to BMWs. Nick, the technician, was also very helpful, and both of them were super friendly and easy to deal with. After dealing with them myself, I can honestly see how the 1 star reviews about their customer service are fake. My experience was the complete opposite. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and easy to deal with. Pricing was also very fair, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy shop instead of going to the dealer.
Response from the owner:Appreciate the kind words Jason, thanks for your vote of confidence and i'm glad we were able to help you out! See you next time -A
Gagandeep Parmar

They took the time to explain everything clearly, completed the work efficiently, and made sure everything was done properly. It’s hard to find an auto shop you can truly trust, but I’ll definitely be coming back here for any future work. Highly recommend!
Reid Mcneil

Clutch Replacement and Repair Services

Restore smooth engagement and reliable power delivery with professional clutch replacement and repair from Parts Plug.

Whether your clutch is slipping, difficult to engage or making unusual noises, our technicians can inspect the system, identify the cause and recommend the appropriate repair. We service factory and modified manual-transmission vehicles and can install original-style or upgraded performance clutch components.

Signs Your Clutch May Need Replacement

Common symptoms of a worn or damaged clutch include:

  • Engine speed increasing without matching acceleration
  • Clutch slipping under acceleration
  • Difficulty changing gears
  • Grinding during gear changes
  • Clutch pedal sticking or remaining on the floor
  • Shuddering or vibration during engagement
  • A high or inconsistent engagement point
  • Burning smells after driving
  • Clicking, rattling or grinding when pressing the clutch
  • Fluid leaking from the clutch hydraulic system

These symptoms can be caused by the clutch disc, pressure plate, flywheel, release bearing, pilot bearing, hydraulic system or transmission-related components. Proper inspection helps determine which parts require attention.

Clutch Services

Our clutch and manual-transmission services may include:

  • Clutch inspection and diagnosis
  • Complete clutch replacement
  • Clutch disc and pressure-plate replacement
  • Dual-mass flywheel replacement
  • Single-mass flywheel conversion
  • Release-bearing replacement
  • Pilot-bearing replacement
  • Clutch fork and pivot inspection
  • Clutch master-cylinder replacement
  • Clutch slave-cylinder replacement
  • Hydraulic clutch bleeding
  • Rear main seal inspection and replacement
  • Manual transmission removal and installation
  • Transmission mount inspection
  • Performance clutch installation

Because accessing the clutch requires significant labour, we inspect related components while the transmission is removed and identify anything that may affect the reliability of the completed repair.

Performance Clutch Installation

Modified or higher-powered vehicles may require a clutch with greater holding capacity than the original equipment.

We can help select and install a suitable:

  • Organic performance clutch
  • Higher-capacity street clutch
  • Ceramic or metallic clutch
  • Multi-disc clutch
  • Upgraded pressure plate
  • Lightweight or single-mass flywheel
  • Clutch kit for turbocharged or supercharged vehicles

The correct clutch depends on the vehicle’s power, torque, intended use and desired driving characteristics. An aggressive clutch may hold more power but can increase pedal effort, noise and engagement harshness.

Clutch Replacement and Flywheel Service

The flywheel should be inspected whenever the clutch is replaced. Excessive heat damage, cracking, wear or movement in a dual-mass flywheel can cause vibration and poor engagement.

Depending on the application and condition, the flywheel may require replacement or another manufacturer-approved service procedure.
